Heribert Lange was born on 10 February 1957 in Berlin-Steglitz and has lived in his home city of Berlin ever since. As a passionate traveller, he has explored vast parts of Asia and Europe, and above all Vietnam has become a second home to him over the years. The encounters along the way and the friendship between cultures shape his works down to every line.
In his debut novel "Ein letzter Cà phê" he weaves Berlin and Vietnam together into a vivid story full of warmth and tension. What begins as a criminal case is, at its heart, a story about love, family and reconciliation – and about how good ultimately has the last word. A sequel, "Noch ein Cà phê", is already in the works.
Lange enjoys telling stories from many perspectives, weaving real places, small truths and cultural peculiarities into his narratives, so that reading itself becomes something of a journey. In addition to novels, he writes travel accounts and children's books in the series "Uhu Waldemar und die Tiere des Waldes".
He shares his travel documentaries on YouTube in 13 languages with an international community, driven by the conviction that politics may divide, but culture connects.
